ERPNext Implementation Process
The ERPNext implementation process can be broken down into the following steps:
1. Requirement Study
The first step is to assess the needs of the business and to determine which technologies should be used
2. Project Documentation
Based on the Requirement Study, we will prepare the initial Statement of Work, Once the project kicks off, more detailed documentation is made such as the SRS and Test Case Document.
3. Design Demo
A UI/UX model of the software is designed, to provide a page-by-page feel of the application
4. Basic ERP implementation
The full version of ERPNext is installed on the Development Server.
5. Custom Development
This stage involves coding the application, system testing, third party integrations, and deploying the product onto the development Server.
6. Third-party Integrations
SMS, Email, Payment Gateway integrations, etc will be done at this stage.
7. Quality Assurance
Once the development is completed a full round of QA will be conducted and the demo server will be made available for testing.
8. Project Approval and signoff
After QA, the project features can be signed off by the client.
9. Deployment to Production Server
The Final version of the software will be deployed to the Production server. This can be on-premises or Cloud-based.
10. Training
Online Training will be provided for the client’s staff.
11. Support
Ongoing Support. This includes answering questions, troubleshooting problems, and providing updates if applicable.
Functional Modules
ERPNext has a wide range of modules that cover a variety of business functions. These modules can be classified into four categories:
Core Modules
These are the essential modules that are required for any business, such as Accounting, CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, and Human Resources.
Vertical Modules
These modules are designed for specific industries or verticals, such as Manufacturing, Construction, Retail, and Education.
Add-on Modules
These modules are developed by third-party developers and are not part of the core ERPNext distribution.
